Franchise expansion brings performing arts education to more communities

Back to school and back to bringing more exceptional performing arts training and opportunities to young people across the UK as a multi-award winning franchise announces the launch of more new schools and classes.

Dragons’ Den backed Razzamataz Theatre Schools is expanding once again with several new schools and additional classes. The team are delighted to welcome new schools in Dorchester and Manchester South, new Early Years classes in Romford and Bristol South and a new Principal for Derby.

With a long-standing tradition of delivering high-quality performing arts training to children and young people, the new schools and classes will further enhance the reputation that Razzamataz has on creating a supportive and inclusive environment where students can develop their skills, gain confidence and have fun while doing an activity that is good for both physical and mental health.

“We are delighted to extend our reach to new communities and provide more children and young people with the opportunity to experience the many benefits that performing arts provides,” says Denise Hutton-Gosney, MD and Founder of Razzamataz. “Our dedicated team of franchisees and teachers are passionate about nurturing talent and building confidence and we are delighted to welcome more young people into our network.”

There are many advantages for both students and business owners of being part of an established franchise network. For students, they can access incredible opportunities at Razzamataz, including performing in West End theatres, masterclasses with industry professionals such as Kerry Ellis, leading lady in musical theatre and various scholarship opportunities including a collaboration with The Stage newspaper as well as the chance to audition for the Future Fund, Razzamataz’s own registered charity that supports students going on to study at a higher level.

For franchisees coming into the network, there are many benefits enabling people from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences to be successful. It is a proven business model with a recognised brand, massively reducing the risks associated with starting a business from scratch. The comprehensive training and on-going support, mentorship and learning that is offered to Razzamataz franchisees from a broad spectrum of seasoned industry experts gives them free access to a wide range of resources, helping with the day to day and business marketing. As a franchisee, you are encouraged to connect with other franchisees within the Razzamataz network to share ideas, experiences, and best practices.

“We are very proud of the strategic partnerships that we have with major global brands such as 20th Century Fox, Universal Pictures (UK), Warner Bros, Mattel and Paramount Pictures,” adds Denise. “These collaborations set individual schools apart from the local competition and are very exciting for the local school communities.”

The Early Years classes at Razzamataz are made up of three different classes for different age groups. Tiny Tots, babies to walking, Tots, walking to three years and Minis four to six years. The main school goes up until the age of eighteen. There are a wide range of classes, featuring Razzamataz’s unique curriculum of musical theatre and the commercial genres of street dance, screen acting and pop singing, giving students a very well rounded performing arts education.

To enable increased accessibility to the arts, Razzamataz offers free taster sessions across the UK as well as an incredible 50% sibling discount. “Our mission has always been to provide accessible and outstanding performing arts education for young people wherever they live in the UK,” adds Denise. “Whether you live in a city or rural location, we understand the transformative effects of performing arts on all young people, and we are driven to offer not just outstanding training, but also access to the same opportunities. Whether that is performing on iconic stages or participating in workshops with leading industry actors, singers or dancers, if children can’t see it, they can’t be it. The most important aspect is that they all benefit from the life skills and confidence that is gained from being part of Razzamataz.”

The new schools and classes will also create job opportunities for local performing arts professionals and contribute positively to the cultural enrichment of their communities.
