Meet the Principal
Ellie Roberts
From the age of 2 and a half, Ellie has always been passionate about the performing arts taking part within multiple productions, young associates programme at The Central School of Ballet and after graduating from the Northern Ballet School, went onto enjoy a successful career on board where she travelled the world whilst fulfilling her dream of one day being ‘on stage in the bright lights’. For many years she’s taught across a number of cities, bringing her variety of skills and knowledge to teaching the future generations from London to Manchester, York to Barry Island and her hometown, Swansea. After retiring from ships and full time performing back in 2022 due to a leg injury, Ellie made the move back up North, a place she holds dearly in her heart and when the opportunity to join the incredible Razzamataz family came around, she couldn’t say no! Passionate on encouraging the mantra that ‘anyone can be a performer’ and instilling a confidence to the younger generation, inclusivity, belonging and togetherness we pride ourselves on here at Razzamataz Leeds. We aim to enrich and inspire our young performers giving them a wealth of skills and training that they are able to utilise whether they dream of becoming the next big Hollywood star or simply to provide with them with a confidence and grounding to be able to use the skills and passion developed whilst attending within their daily lives - Skills they will remember long after their time with us here at Razzamataz Leeds.
