It has been months in the planning, but all the hard work and late nights have been worth it for the team at Razzamataz Performing Arts Dubai with an exceptional launch, attended by more than one hundred local families.
Razzamataz is an established and well regarded brand in the UK with more than 25 years in operation and backed by the BBC’s Dragons’ Den. The team is excited to be bringing the same award-winning high-quality performing arts education to Dubai, giving children the opportunity to build confidence, creativity and skills for life. To ensure that the launch event showcased exactly what children and families can expect every Saturday during term time, the team pulled out all the stops to create an unforgettable experience, with engaging taster sessions, made even more special by the appearance of renowned West End performer Jennifer Tierney as a special guest.
With her powerful, versatile vocals and an extraordinary career spanning over 20 years on the London stage, Jennifer brought a true sense of star quality to the launch. From performing in multiple West End productions including Wicked, Mamma Mia! and the Olivier Award-winning Come From Away, to appearing alongside Brian May at the London Palladium and performing for global dignitaries and royalty, her presence underscored the calibre, professionalism and inspiration at the heart of the Razzamataz experience.
To support the team, Denise Gosney, Founder and MD of Razzamataz, flew in from the UK to be part of the celebrations and lend her support to the Dubai launch. With more than 25 years of experience growing Razzamataz, Denise was on hand to meet families, support the local team and share the vision behind the award-winning brand, reinforcing Razzamataz’s commitment to delivering high-quality performing arts training wherever it launches around the world.
Among the attendees was dad Abdul, who brought along his daughter Sara to the launch where she participated in all the activities as Abdul explains: “She really enjoyed it, telling us about all the things she’s done and the friends she’s made on the first day. It really looks like she’s coming out of her shell thanks to the Razzamataz team. We’ve signed up and absolutely we will be back next week. This is the start of her new theatrical journey, and we believe we are getting the full package in helping to develop our child’s communication skills.”
This year is the start of the award-winning franchise network’s international expansion with the launch of the school in Dubai, followed closely by the Republic of Ireland. The teams behind both schools share their experience of a journey which has been many months in the planning.
