Double Whammy Scholarship Opportunities for Young People

This April, BBC’s Dragons’ Den backed Razzamataz Theatre Schools is giving two huge opportunities for young people in performing arts, designed to open doors to their future. Alongside this, the schemes will give franchisees powerful opportunities to make an impact in their communities, enabling their schools to gain significant exposure. The Razzamataz Scholarships and the Future Fund both reflect the long-standing commitment to giving back and ensuring that every young person has the opportunity to explore their potential through performing arts. Over the years, Razzamataz has provided countless young people with the tools to develop their talents, enjoy incredible opportunities and create confident futures.

Performing arts scholarships for children

The Razzamataz Scholarships are open to current students and those that have never attended performing arts classes. All the schools within the network offer these scholarships, enabling a child to go to their local Razzamataz free of charge for a full year. For some, this will be their first experience of singing, dance and acting training, so the judges will be looking for potential over perfection.

How to enter the Razzamataz Scholarships

The Razzamataz Scholarships provide 12 months of free tuition at a local Razzamataz school, worth up to £900. Simply film your child singing, dancing or acting and submit the video to your local Principal. The aim is to let your child’s potential shine out, their enthusiasm and personality are far more important than technical ability at this stage. The scholarships are open to children from the age of 6-18.

Applications open: 7th April

Deadline for 2026 applications: Friday, 5th June 2026.

Hear from a Razzamataz Scholarship winner

Robson Broad was one of our early scholarship recipients and has since gone on to enjoy a successful professional career, performing in West End productions including Hamilton and Moulin Rouge, alongside many other engagements. His journey shows how the Razzamataz Scholarships can help nurture talent and build confidence.

“Winning the scholarship gave me a huge boost of confidence and attending the professional opportunities that went with it gave me a little glimpse into what it would be like to be a professional performer.”

Benefits to franchisees

One of the strengths of the Razzamataz network is its ability to combine national initiatives with grassroots community engagement. Through the Razzamataz Scholarships, local schools become community-focused hubs for creativity, confidence and opportunity. For many families, these scholarships will provide a first step into performing arts education giving them the knowledge to transform confidence, communication skills and self-belief. Without access to creative outlets, many young people may miss the chance to develop these vital life skills.

For franchisees, the scholarships enable them to reach a wider range of families while demonstrating a genuine commitment to inclusion and community impact, helping to build trust, raise awareness and position their school as a valued part of the local area.

Supporting the next generation of performers

The Future Fund is Razzamataz’s own charity which provides grants for students going on to study at college or university. It shows that the support for families doesn’t stop when students leave Razzamataz but continues as they take the next steps in their creative journeys. This lasting connection is one of the reasons so many former students choose to return as teachers, sharing their experience and inspiring the next generation of young performers to follow their dreams.

How to enter the Future Fund

Razzamataz students applying to the Future Fund will explain how they will use the funding to support their future goals. They will be asked to prepare several audition pieces, supported by their teachers and Principal and then present to an independent judging panel. Past judges have included: Editor of The Stage, Casting Director at Cameron Mackintosh Ltd, Founder of Tarquin Talent Agency and many West End and Broadway performers.

Applications open: 7th April
