In a world increasingly dominated by talk of tech and AI, it can feel like the only career paths left for young people are behind a screen. But while digital skills are important, what truly sets future leaders apart is their ability to communicate, collaborate, and cope with challenges through life skills such as confidence, resilience, and creativity, all of which can be achieved through performing arts education.
That’s why Razzamataz Theatre Schools places such a strong emphasis on training our teachers to be the very best they can be, because we know how vital their role is in supporting and inspiring young people. When you join Razzamataz as a student, assistant, teacher, team member or franchisee, you will have access to an incredible array of opportunities to further your learning, including the return of our highly successful Creative Development Day, now in its fourth year. This year, it’s bigger, more inclusive, and more accessible than ever before, with two locations, one in the North and one in the South, ensuring even more of our teams across the UK can benefit from this exceptional training opportunity.
Although the events aren’t until November, places fill up fast. This year, the day will be available to Razzamataz graduates who are interested in teaching, the performing arts, or exploring how to run their own theatre school, as well as to other professionals in the arts industry. As well as masterclasses, there will be opportunity to find out more about what it takes to launch and maintain a successful performing arts school. And the best bit…..it’s absolutely FREE! Limited places available.

The days will be hosted by Emily Louise Connor, Creative and Mindset Coach, Performer, and National Creative Lead at Razzamataz. She will work with attendees to create a space where individuals come to each session with an open mindset to embrace growth both personally and professionally. The day will be multi layered where attendees will work on their mindset to discover the tools they need to lead with authenticity and impact. This will be achieved through practical insights and knowledge to have the most impact for the next generation of young performers.
Guest practitioners will lead several sessions focused on practical tools, innovative teaching techniques, and performance skills, all designed to enhance classroom delivery, boost confidence, and inspire the next generation of young performers. Jason Marc Williams, Head of Acting and Voice at Laine Theatre Arts will be
evealing why drama teaching is so powerful and how to increase connection and creativity in young people. He will also be exploring how to tell the story inside the song, guiding teachers on how to help students interpret lyrics and sing from their hearts.

In recent years, young people have faced numerous challenges that can sometimes lead to difficult behaviour in the classroom. At Razzamataz, we recognise that this often stems from moments of overwhelm or other underlying struggles, it’s not the child’s fault. That’s why Emily will be leading a dedicated session focused on
behaviour management strategies. This session will equip teachers with practical tools to support students effectively while creating a positive and empowering classroom culture.
As leaders in performing arts education, Razzamataz supports its teams to prioritise their mental well-being and develop the mindset tools needed to lead with authenticity and impact. Attendees will experience a unique session where movement meets mentorship with Professional Dancer, Entrepreneur and Choreographer Chloe Ferns, who has an impressive CV working with the likes of Nicki Minaj, Little Mix, Elton John, Kylie Minogue, Rosalia, and Liam Payne, gracing world tours, music videos, and major TV stages like The Brit Awards, MTV EMAs, and Eurovision. She’s also an ultra-marathon runner and is passionate about helping others move through fear to reconnect with their creative power. Further sessions feature workshops on how best to enhance the student experience, industry trends with a guest from a leading UK talent agency and speaking directly to experts on what’s next for young performers and how to ensure Razzamataz continues to lead the way.

There will also be the opportunity to learn more about the Razzamataz story and the people behind the multi-award-winning brand with a VIP reception with Founder and MD Denise Gosney and former Franchisee and current Strategic Support & Business Development Lead Hayley Limpkin. There will be a chance to meet franchisees who started out with no prior business experience yet are now running highly profitable theatre schools that fit perfectly around their lifestyles. You’ll hear their inspiring stories, discover how they turned their passion into a thriving business, and have the chance to ask questions about how the Razzamataz franchise helped them achieve their goals.
“At Razzamataz, we invest in the development of our students and are just as passionate in the growth of our team at whatever stage they are at in their careers,” says Denise. “I truly believe that when we nurture the aspirations of our people, we create a stronger, more empowered network that can make an even greater impact on the young lives we support through the performing arts.”
