A Royal Reward for Razzamataz Teachers

At Razzamataz, we know that the greatest impact on our students comes from the incredible teaching team. That’s why we continually invest in their development and take every opportunity to celebrate and reward those who go above and beyond.

As part of this team progression, Razzamataz hosted two Creative Development Days, one in London, the other in Glasgow where participants got to explore with guest practitioners the best ways to build skills to enhance their teaching, boost confidence and inspire young people.

To further strengthen and reward everything that the teaching teams across the UK do for our young people, Razzamataz has an award that embodies everything that Razzamataz stands for while celebrating teachers who consistently go the extra mile for their students: the Razz Team Spirit Award. Not only is this a fantastic achievement to celebrate within the network, but the prize itself is equally special, two tickets for the winners to the Royal Variety Performance, where our teachers will see some of their musical theatre icons including performances by host Jason Manford, 40th anniversary celebration of Les Misérables, music from Jessie J, Britain’s Got Talent winner Harry Moulding and an exclusive performance from Paddington the Musical.

The winners were announced during the Creative Development Days and judged by one of the visiting practitioners, Jason Marc Williams, Head of Acting and Voice at Laine Theatre Arts. The winners, Charlotte Logan from Razzamataz Rayleigh West and Lauren Kirkbride from  Razzamataz Carlisle and Dumfries were both singled out thanks to the incredible entries which revealed just how far their creativity, dedication, and passion for the performing arts have developed through their Razzamataz journey.

Jason says: “Reading Charlotte’s nomination honestly gave me goosebumps. What shines through is not just her talent and hard work, but the huge heart she brings to everything she does. What I loved most was how many people spoke about her kindness and her ability to make everyone feel seen and supported. Whether it’s mentoring children through tough times, bringing creativity and fun into every lesson, or simply being that steady, reliable person, the whole team can count on, Charlotte is clearly treasured by her students, parents, and colleagues alike.”

Lauren’s feedback was equally impressive with Marc commenting on how she would often be the one to step up when it really mattered. “It’s so clear that she is at the very heart of Razzamataz Carlisle. What struck me most wasn’t just the sheer amount she does, the leadership, the choreography, the events, the mentoring, but the way she does it all, with such care, warmth, and integrity. The testimonials paint such a powerful picture of someone who inspires, uplifts, and brings out the very best in people, not just as performers, but as human beings.”

Awards like the Razz Team Spirit Award are just one example of the many initiatives within the Razzamataz franchise toolkit that enable Principals to build sustainable, thriving businesses. By providing recognition, development opportunities, and genuine pathways for growth, these initiatives not only celebrate excellence but also create environments where teachers, team members, and students alike can flourish. It’s this holistic approach, combining creativity, opportunity, and community, that makes Razzamataz such a rewarding and resilient business model for every franchisee.

On hearing of her award win, Lauren says: “I’m incredibly grateful to be recognised for a role that I truly love and feel so passionate about. I feel so lucky to be part of the Razzamataz family and to work alongside such an inspiring and supportive team. I am so thankful to have a job I absolutely love, one that continues to challenge me, push me creatively, and provide the most incredible opportunities, but most of all, to work with the amazing students who inspire me every day with their passion, energy, and creativity.”

Equally as excited to have won and be attending the Royal Variety Performance, Charlotte adds: “I was truly surprised to have been presented with the Team Spirit Award, I had no idea that I had even been nominated, how everyone managed to keep it quiet, I’ll never know. I am truly grateful for the support and opportunities Razzamataz has given me over the past three years, it has helped me and my young daughter, Chloe,  through a very difficult personal time, to become the main focus of our lives, we absolutely love it!  I am so thankful to the numerous parents and students who provided testimonials in support of my entry, and most of all to Principal Catherine for always encouraging and believing in me and putting me forward for this amazing award which I am so proud to have won.”
