Investing £60,000 in Scholarships to Create Confident Futures

As part of its landmark 25th anniversary celebrations, Razzamataz Theatre Schools is proud to announce the winners of the newly launched Razzamataz Scholarships, awarding £60,000 worth of free performing arts tuition to children and young people across the UK.

This exciting scholarship programme, which provides a full year of free tuition at local Razzamataz schools (worth up to £900 per student), has been awarded to more than 60 deserving students nationwide, giving them the chance to experience the transformative power of the performing arts, completely free of charge.

From Scotland to the South Coast, scholarship winners impressed with their raw talent, enthusiasm, and determination. A diverse and experienced panel of judges from across the UK, made up of performing arts professionals, and industry experts, were unanimous in their praise. The judges were blown away by the variety of entries, with many commenting on the creativity, passion, and potential shown by students of all ages. It was a tough decision across the board, highlighting just how much talent and promise exists in communities throughout the country.

The scholarships aim to make performing arts more accessible to young people, offering a launchpad not only for arts careers but for building confidence, communication skills, and resilience, life skills that are invaluable in every career.

“We’re thrilled with the feedback to these scholarships and delighted to celebrate these amazing young people and welcome them into the Razzamataz family,” says Denise Gosney, MD and Founder of Razzamataz Theatre Schools. “I know from my own experience how life-changing performing arts can be. These scholarships are about giving every child the chance to thrive and believe in themselves, whether they go on to become performers or follow other paths.”

This marks the first year the initiative has been formally renamed the Razzamataz Scholarships, bringing together years of outreach into a single, national offering that reflects the brand’s refreshed commitment to Creating Confident Futures. Many past scholarship winners have gone on to achieve incredible success, including Robson Broad, who began his journey at Razzamataz Medway. After winning a scholarship, Robson trained vocationally and now performs in West End blockbusters such as Hamilton and Moulin Rouge.

“Winning the scholarship gave me a huge boost of confidence and made me realise what was possible,” says Robson. “Now, being able to return to Razzamataz as a guest teacher is really special, I hope I can inspire the next generation the way I was inspired.”

The announcement of the first cohort of official Razzamataz Scholarship winners is a significant moment for the franchise network, and marks just one way they give back to local people in their communities. Razzamataz is deeply committed to creating confident futures through a wide range of initiatives designed to support not just students, but also teachers, team members, alumni, and franchisees.

Their registered charity, the Razzamataz Future Fund, provides financial support to students pursuing further training in the performing arts, helping to remove barriers and encourage young people to continue their journey. Teachers, team members, and alumni also benefit from ongoing development through Creative Development Day, a national event offering CPD workshops led by industry experts to nurture talent, spark creativity, and build confidence.

In a bold move to support entrepreneurship, Razzamataz has launched the Future Founders competition, offering two franchise territories with no franchise fee, one in the UK and one in the UAE, along with a £10,000 grant and expert support to help winners launch their own Razzamataz school.

Support is a cornerstone of the Razzamataz ethos. Franchisees receive expert coaching and guidance from Head Office to ensure their schools thrive, while Principals and their teams provide invaluable mentorship to students, both on and off the stage. Whether helping a child find their voice, guiding a teacher to grow in confidence, or enabling a young entrepreneur to launch a business, Razzamataz continues to lead the way in making a lasting difference.

This is just one of the many benefits of being part of the award-winning Razzamataz franchise network. Whether you’re a passionate performer, an aspiring entrepreneur, or someone looking to make a real impact in your community, Razzamataz offers the training, support, and proven business model to help you succeed.
