New Principal for Razzamataz Durham.

Stuart Hall is taking over the reigns from Pam Dixon who ran the school shortly after it opened in April 2008. Stuart has a degree in Drama and Writing and Publishing and has masses of experiences performing locally in various theatre productions. He also has written professionally for children as well as working as a Teacher of English and Drama. Stuart has been coming to the sessions for several weeks and has got to know many of the pupils so it's not too scary when they see him in April. Stuart would like to thank Pam and her daughter Charlotte for all their assistance and help in making the transition so seamless.
The Drama Unfolds at Razzamataz Durham

Razzamataz Durham would like to welcome our new Drama Teacher - Amy Mitchell. Amy comes with an excellent pedigree as a qualified Secondary School and College Teacher who has taught all stages of Drama from GCSE up to BTEC level. Amy has also worked as an Arts Award Regional Development Coordinator and the Editor of Raring2Go, a magazine aimed at parents of young children. When Amy taught a session in the last week of last term many of the Inters remembered when she filled in for a couple of weeks in September and said that they hoped that she would be their Drama Teacher. When not teaching, Amy is busy looking after her fifteen month old daughter, Gracie, who, she says, is "already a drama queen, like her Mum!"
Our old Drama Teacher...is now our new Dance Teacher
Daisy Edmiston has made the transition from Drama to Dance Teacher, something she was surely destined to do when you look at her impressive background. Daisy has worked as a Dance Instructor in various different schools over the last seven years working with various different age groups from youngsters aged four right up to adults. This has given a vast array of experience in different dancing genres; from tap to zumba, from musical theatre to jazz, Daisy has taught it all. She has also worked as a professional dancer for several years including dancing as part of a West End Cast, performing in Bangkok's luxury five star Sheraton Grande, appearances in pop videos, various TV appearances and as a backing dancer for Rod Stewart. Daisy is currently studying to become a Qualified Teacher within the Lifelong Learning Sector and is qualified as an Arts Award Advisor.
Sing it out loud! Helen's still here
With many changes of personnel it's good to know that one thing still remains the same with Helen Tuffnell remaining as our Singing and Minis Teacher. Ever popular with children young and old Helen's endless enthusiasm ensures that she succeeds in whatever she turns her hand to. Helen has been teaching at various Stage Schools for nearly eight years now and has been with Razzamataz Durham since September 2011.
