Franchise business offers continued support for students

Franchise business Razzamataz Theatre Schools will be celebrating its 15th birthday in September and during that time has seen many talented students go on to make a career in performing arts.

For many young people, developing a passion early on in life will lead them to their future career. Performing arts is one such area where the desire and training often starts early. But in this highly competitive field, young people need as much support as possible to achieve their dreams.

Razzamataz provides its franchisees with the contacts and experience to pass on to students within their part-time theatre schools. As well as teaching the students in dance, drama and singing each week, classes cover the whole spectrum of genres from classic West End musical theatre to pop singing and street dance. This creates ‘triple threat performers’ which is what the industry now demands.

All the way through their training, Razzamataz provides the support they need to establish connections and gain experience in this competitive industry. The first port of call starts with the opportunity to audition for Top Talent Casting Agency. Students across all of the Razzamataz schools up and down the country have appeared in West End shows, on TV, in pop videos and professional pantos.

Students of all ages also get a chance to work with industry professionals. Razzamataz regularly host master classes where experienced West End performers come into the school to teach sections from well-loved shows. Recent master classes include Les Miserables, Wicked, Cats, Blood Brothers and the Sound of Music.

For those looking to go into the commercial world, Razzamataz provides workshops with the best in the industry to show students the latest techniques. Recent workshops in street dance include those with Urban Strides and Britain’s Got Talent winners Diversity and runners up Twist and Pulse.

We are delighted that Razzamataz has given the inspiration to so many students going off to study performing arts at college and university and to assist them with the costs we set up the Future Fund charity. This year we awarded the first scholarship of £3,000 to a student from the Carlisle school and preparations are already being made for next year’s auditions.

“Razzamataz is not just about creating the next generation of performers but many of our students show the passion, talent and determination to succeed in this industry so we do all we can to support them,” says Denise Hutton-Gosney, MD and Founder of Razzamataz “We make sure all the Principals in our schools are completely up to date with the industry and provide all the support and contacts they need to pass onto their students.”

If you want to help discover the next generation of performing arts stars, make an appointment to come along to one of our regular but informal Discovery Den days in London, Carlisle, Glasgow or Sheffield to find out more about this exciting and flexible business opportunity.

To celebrate 15 years of business, Razzamataz is offering a special promotion with a £2,015 reduction for 2015, a saving from the original fee of £9,990 plus VAT.
